- Construction of the new Plainfield East High School on the 100 acre site at 119th Street and Naperville Road in Plainfield was completed in the summer of 2008.
- The 273,000 square foot facility includes an auditorium, gymnasium, field house, auxiliary gym, full kitchen , cafeteria.
- The $55 million, facility consists of 6 wings, 74 classrooms, 8 science labs, media center, large cafeteria, 781-seat auditorium with stage, orchestra pit and sound-conditioned rooms.
- Additinal features include a field house with an indoor running track, 2 baseball fields, 2 soccer fields, 5 football fields, 12 tennis courts, shot put, discuss throw, long jump, high jump and pole vault areas. There is also a stadium building with grandstands, press box and concession stands and a storage building.
