Crews Enjoy BBQ Appreciation Lunch on Job Site

Crews Enjoy BBQ Appreciation Lunch on Job Site

To show appreciation to the crews working on the construction of 6001 W. Lawrence in Chicago’s Jefferson Park neighborhood,  Henry Bros. Co. Project Manager Carl Hauert organized a BBQ lunch.

“We wanted to do something to thank the team and show appreciation for their hard work, great safety record, and dedication to keep the project moving,” said Hauert. “We are on schedule and will have the project completed as planned this September.” The project broke ground late last fall.

The two-building, 48-unit development is owned by Full Circle Communities and will provide affordable housing for veterans, families, and people with disabilities.

Designed by Canopy Architecture+Design, residential units will include studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments in two four-story buildings.  Amenities will include on-site management, a library, computer lab, community room, children’s activity room, and storage. On-site services will be available to assist residents with health and wellness, employment, and financial counseling, among other programs.

The project is funded in part with IHDA tax credits, and HBCo was involved early on providing preconstruction services for the owner. Additional funding was provided by The National Equity Fund, Inc., Com-Ed, and other grants.
