Junior Construction Estimator

Primary Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced a full-time Junior Estimator position. The ideal candidate has three to five years of experience in construction estimating and is adept at budget updates and final construction estimates. Also, the candidate should be experienced in managing both the GMP/negotiated and “lump sum” competitive bid delivery methods. Knowledge of the local subcontracting market is a plus.

 

·         Review project plans and requirements

·         Review bid documents

·         Analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids

·         Prepare bid packages and scope review spreadsheets

·         Prepare final construction estimates and budgets

 

Qualifications

·         Three to five years in the construction field with a particular knowledge of estimating

·         Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines

·         Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications

·         Knowledge of OnScreen Takeoffs

·         Knowledge of construction delivery methods

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Possesses creative thinking and problem-solving skills

·         Is able to nurture existing relationships with architects and subcontractors

·         Is Self-motivated

·         Has decision-making skills

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
