Forest Oaks Senior Apartments

Forest Oaks Senior Apartments, is a five-story, 85,000 S.F. “podium-style” building featuring 4,300 S.F. of commercial and community space on the first floor and 56 residential units on floors two through five. The building’s basement offers heated parking for residents and houses mechanical rooms. Funded in part with IHDA LIHTC tax credits, the project provides residents with affordable living and easy access to local shopping, community amenities, and a commuter train station. The wood-frame building is clad primarily in masonry.

As is customary with IHDA tax credit projects, Henry Bros. Co. was involved from the early design phases providing comprehensive preconstruction services for the owner. As an integral member of the development team from the earliest stages, Henry Bros. Co. was able to provide input and guidance to help the client make important development decisions. This included providing all of the necessary documentation for the client, and their respective capital sources, to ensure the project “closed” on the targeted deadline. This allowed for project funding and the timely commencement of construction.
