Project

Weber Leisure Center

Henry Bros. Co. built a new 70,000 S.F. field house and indoor recreation facility for the Skokie Park District. The new space is designed to support numerous activities simultaneously and encourage community engagement.

Construction of the Leisure Center took place around two indoor skating rinks. The main challenge posed in completing this project was the continued operation of the pre-scheduled recreational activities without disruption. HBCo’s experience and sensitivity to such concerns allowed for smooth uninterrupted figure skating championships, hockey league practices, and public skating hours.

As a result of the Leisure Center’s tremendous success, HBCo has since built additional park district facilities including Oakton Community Center and Devonshire Community Center.
