Henry Bros. Co. Celebrates the Groundbreaking of DuPage Township’s New Food Pantry

Henry Bros. Co.  joined DuPage Township leaders and community partners for the groundbreaking of the township’s new food pantry in Bolingbrook. The 11,120 S.F. building is being constructed on a 1.47-acre parcel of open land on the northeast corner of Lily Cache Lane and Canterbury Lane. The new facility will replace the current Romeoville location which serves residents across a six-square-mile area that includes most of Bolingbrook and Romeoville, as well as small portions of Plainfield, Lemont, and Naperville. Once complete, the new facility will extend this outreach to an additional 25,000 households within Township.

Serving as construction manager, HBCo is working closely with Township representatives and project architect Cody Braun to deliver this important community resource, which is being financed in part by Old National Bank. Completion is anticipated for late 2026.

Among those representing Henry Bros. Co. at the groundbreaking were Bob Nielsen, Vice President of Operations; Aaron Reilly, Project Manager; Scott Sittler, Superintendent; and Marcy Johnson, Project Coordinator.

Many state and village officials joined the official groundbreaking. Those holding the ceremonial shovels included Will County Board/DuPage Township Food Pantry Board Member El Costas (left), DuPage Township Food Pantry Board Member Ashley Howard, DuPage Township Trustee Daryl Parks, Food Pantry Director Teresa Crafton, Congressman Bill Foster (D-IL), DuPage Township Supervisor Lori Marschke, DuPage Township Trustee Monty Jackson, Bolingbrook Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta, Architect Jeff Braun of Cody/Braun, DuPage Township Trustee Terri Ransom, DuPage Township Clerk Barbara Parker, DuPage Township Collector Cheryl Howard, and State Representative Dee Avelar.
