On Wednesday, August 20, representatives from Henry Bros. Co. attended the grand opening of Ancora Memory Care, a new assisted living and memory support facility located on the Franciscan Communities Marian Village campus in Homer Glen, Illinois.

The event welcomed more than 250 guests including residents and staff of Marian Village, prospective residents, members of the Franciscan community, Homer Glen Mayor Christina Neitzke-Troike, Franciscan Ministries President and CEO Regina Umansky, Chief Operating Officer Karen Larsen, Executive Director Cari Saysongkham, and Associate Vice President, Ministry Development Jeff Lundin, among many others.

This new, one-story, 33,368-square-foot structure was designed by Perkins Eastman. It includes 38 private rooms, along with a communal dining room, library, lounge, and beauty salon. In addition to constructing the new building, Henry Bros. Co. completed renovations on approximately 8,600 square feet of the adjacent assisted existing living facility.

This project represents another successful milestone in the more than 30-year partnership between Henry Bros. Co. and Franciscan Ministries. Henry Bros. Co. was represented by Senior Project Manager Carl Hauert, Chief Estimator Scott Medows, VP of Operations Bob Nielsen, VP of Project Development Tom O’Brien, and Project Coordinator Marcy Johnson.
