Henry Bros. Co. joined client Northpointe Development Corporation and Knothe & Bruce Architects to celebrate the grand opening of the Greenhaven Apartments and Townhomes at 303 West Johnson Street in Palatine. The new 94,013 square foot, wood-framed/podium structure features two- and three-story sections with a total of 58 residential units and underground parking. To date, 44 units have been leased and are occupied.
Representing Henry Bros. Co. at the ribbon cutting were Bill Callaghan, Jr., President; Tom O’Brien, Vice President for Project Development; Carl Hauert, Project Manager, and Mike Godek, Estimator.
Jake Victor of Northpointe Development praised the entire project team giving special recognition to Henry Bros. Co. Project Manager Carl Hauert and Superintendent Jeremy Berg for their tenacious work to bring this project to completion. Northpointe is partnering with Housing Development Opportunity Corporation to manage this and other buildings under construction.
Henry Bros. Co. was involved from the earliest development and design phases, providing comprehensive preconstruction services for the owner and A/E team to ensure optimal alignment of the design and construction cost with development financial metrics and feasibility.
Funding partners consisted of several sources including IHDA, Cook County, FHLB, BMO, Hudson Capital, and ComEd.
