Apollo Recreation Center Update

The newly remodeled and expanded Apollo Recreation Center at the Alsip Park District features a new upper-level walking track in the existing gymnasium and a new aerobics room. The fitness center was expanded and the gym was remodeled to accommodate additional seating and restrooms. Office space was remodeled, new daycare classrooms were created, and a new indoor playground was added.

Henry Bros. Co. sequenced the work so daily operations continued and the space remained open to the public. The building only closed for less than two hours early in the project when new HVAC rooftop units were safely placed by helicopter.
