New Addition at Calumet School District 132

Calumet Middle School in Calumet Park recently celebrated the grand opening of its new 22,620-square-foot gymnasium addition. Features include spectator seating, a walking track, concession space, and locker rooms.  The new gym building includes fully functional classrooms with Smartboards, multi-purpose space, a STEAM lab, meeting rooms, and ample storage.

Henry Bros. Co. completed the project at the start of the fall school year, as desired by the School District, even though the project start date was delayed by two months due to MWRD permitting.  With meticulous planning, collaboration, and effective scheduling, the construction team overcame the delay and completed the project on time and under budget.

Calumet School District 132 has served the neighborhood youth for decades and these building improvements solidify its mission to develop the academic, social, physical, emotional, and cultural needs of its students.
