New Palos Hills Public Works Facility

Henry Bros. Co. built a new 39,000 S.F. public works facility for the City of Palos Hills. The partial two-story buidling features indoor parking for 33 vehicles, three maintenance bays with two truck lifts, a truck wash bay, brine storage, a workshop, ample indoor storage for equipment and tools, administrative offices, and locker rooms with showers and restrooms for staff. The 7.5-acre site also includes outdoor parking, a vehicle fueling station, and material and salt storage. This facility and its staff serve more than 17,000 residents in Palos Hills.

The structure required an h-pile foundation with grade beams and a structural slab to reinforce substandard soil conditions.
