On May 31, Henry Bros. Co. (HBCo) joined the groundbreaking for the SACRED Apartments, a new five-story, 104,681 S.F. building that will feature 81 affordable residential units ranging from one- to four-bedrooms. SACRED is a nearly $48 million development partnership between the Claretian Associates and the Interfaith Housing Development Corporation (IHDC). The property will be managed by Interfaith Management Services, while Claretian Associates and Villa Guadalupe Senior Services will provide onsite resident services.
Located at 9212 South Burley Avenue in Chicago, SACRED is being touted as a catalyst for the revitalization of South Chicago. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and 10th Ward Alderman Peter Chico attended the groundbreaking along with Perry Vietti, President of IHDC and Angela Hurlock, Chief Executive Officer of the Claretian Associates. Project Manager Shannon Erickson and Estimator Mike Godek represented Henry Bros. Co.
SACRED will feature 6,000 S.F. of retail space on the ground floor along with There will be parking for 44 cars as well as exterior garden space.
