Fifth graders at Blackberry Creek Elementary School in Elburn, Illinois, learned about general contracting and the use of concrete during the school’s Career Day, thanks to a collaboration between Henry Bros. Co. (HBCo) and Wille Brothers Company. Adrian Sudol, Concrete Superintendent at HBCo, invited Wille Brothers—one of HBCo’s cement suppliers—to join the event and provide giveaways for the students.
Wille Brothers’ Executive Sales Representative Trever Clark and Ready Mix Truck Driver Marco Gonzales didn’t just bring gifts—they brought a cement truck. Students, including Adrian’s daughter Madeline, had the opportunity to explore the truck inside and out.
“These two guys went above and beyond,” said Adrian. “The kids had a great time exploring the truck and learning how it works. Seeing things in person is a great way to learn,” he added.
