Henry Bros. Co. completed a two-story addition to Chicago Public School’s Edgebrook Elementary School. The new 36,000 space adds 8 traditional classrooms, a computer room, a science classroom, a warming kitchen and lunchroom, restrooms, an additional mechanical room, and a new chiller.

The addition replaced existing modular classrooms. A playground and teachers’ parking lot were removed and reconstructed to make room for the addition.

LEED Features: The addition achieved LEED “Silver” certification. Approximately 72 percent of the roof of the addition is “green.”
