Renovations Enhance Franciscan Village in Lemont

Henry Bros. Co. improved the functionality and finishes at Franciscan Village’s three-story Independent Living Facility with common area renovations. The four-phased project incorporated additional safety measures and logistics planning to protect residents, guests, and staff during construction.

Corridors throughout the occupied facility have a homier feel thanks to upgrades of the flooring, wall coverings, ceilings, lighting, new crown molding, and chair and hand railings. In addition, the fire protection system and four elevators were revamped. Also renovated were mid-level dining rooms, the café, washrooms, and the gift shop.

The porte-cochere at the main entry was completely redone. The new canopy structure allows for main entrance access for emergency vehicles. It blends perfectly with the building.

Improved amenities for residents were accomplished with renovations in the basement level. Accessible and attractive social spaces include a billiards room, multipurpose room, prep kitchen, library, and washrooms.
