Saint Xavier University, O’Brien Hall

Henry Bros. Co. completed a new 36,664 S.F., five-story, $9.4 million environmentally-friendly student residence hall on time for incoming students. This was the second residence hall built by Henry Bros. Co. to be certified “Gold” under the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) “green building” system constructed on Saint Xavier University’s campus. It also received an award for Engineering Mechanical Excellence from the State Chapter of ASHRAE.

Rubloff Hall, a “green” student residence hall built prior to O’Brien Hall, was the first college building constructed in Illinois to receive the prestigious LEED “Gold” designation award.
